Overview
Samuel C. Vivacqua is a patent agent at Vivacqua Crane. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in German Language and Culture (2021) and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent matters (2022). He specializes in US utility and design patents claiming domestic or foreign priority, US national stage entries of PCT applications, US patent prosecution, and relations with foreign associates and clients.
Samuel has extensive experience in software, embedded systems, signals and systems, power electronics, electromagnetics, communications, analog electronics, and monolitic amplifier circuits. He is currently pursuing a M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power electronics, including batteries, battery managment systems, power converters, embedded systems, and sensors.
Samuel has worked on or contributed to numerous patent projects and cases, ranging from prosecution to drafting of patent applications. Samuel routinely handles matters related to software, machine learning, electronics, sensors, wireless communication, batteries, electric machines, and more. He also handles relations with foreign associates. He speaks German and uses his German language and culture skills to understand German patent documents and more effectively communicate with German foreign associates. Samuel provides personal service and patent portfolio management for international clients, especially those in the European market. Samuel is passionate about helping clients protect their intellectual property rights and achieve their business goals.
In his spare time, Samuel enjoys working on his car, camping, traveling, and DIY projects.
